Week 4 – Fine Tuning
Since 90% of the actual creative project is finished – the other 10% being completing the room, adding the liquid and hosting the show – I found myself fine tuning every aspect in my head of what needs to be done in the show and therefore restlessly falling asleep nightly. This next week will prove to be much more difficult as every day draws nearer to 6:00 pm Saturday night. The cost of the project is getting close to $700 – and that is becoming burdensome. I also spent the week, and will continue to do so this week, researching pertinent information regarding my thesis. I have added over 40 different scholarly articles to my delicious.com account and can easily add more. It is very, very refreshing to learn that I am not the only one noticing this relationship of beauty in art (and more specifically beauty in contemporary art.) I plan on heading to the DU writing center sometime this week once I have organized all my thoughts and additions, having the show, adding more the next week then getting a solid first draft to my advisor by July 18th. That week will be fine tuning, again, writing center, again, and adding to the paper, again, for the deadline of July 22 due to the academic director in which she will review it and give feed back and hopefully accept it by 8/10. Almost done! Below is a quick teaser of what the cube looks like with liquid in it. It truly looks amazing set up in the dark room with the lights – I can’t wait to show!
